Athletics
On Friday, November the 13th, the whole school had athletics.
First we went to sit on the dots to get told what to do, this was pointed to us (the school) and to Mr Dale (our principal) because this was his first athletics at this school. After Mr Dale said his speech, 3 of the maori kids did a karakia (prayer), after the karakia Miss Ashley sent off Benghazi and Tripoli then Alamein and Tobruk. We all sat down at our gazebos and went on to do our activities.
The first activity we had to do was Shot put who was hosted by Mr Tafea. Shot put is a sports game where you throw a heavy metal shot put ball as far as you can. When we went most of us didn't even have a turn, it was still fun to watch tho, seeing them getting mad just because they didn't go far enough. The bell rang which means we had to rotate to our next activity, which was standing jump. Standing jump was hosted by Miss Grady, Standing jump is a sport where you stand in a line and jump as far as you can. The next sport we had was discus which was hosted by Mrs.Tafea, In discus we had to throw the discus as far as we could, This sport is kind of similar to shot put. Then when the bell rang it was time to go to our next location which was long jump. Long jump is where you run as fast as you can and then jump far. The last activity we had to do was high jump, High jump is where you run and jump over a pole then land on a blue cuission.

Why kids should go camp
Why kids should go to school camp
************************************************************
Kids should go to a school camp so they can learn new skills, make new friends, build confidence in themself when they are away from their families and it will give them a break from Social media/Techology
When kids get to go to school camps they learn new skills like surviving skills, Social skills, Independence skills and navigation skills. These skills can help kids when they are in a group or by themselves.
When at a school camp you can build positive relationships with others and become their friend. When building positive relationships with others you can make new memories with them and share how fun your experience is going so far.
When there are shy kids at school camps others can help them build confidence by encouraging them, helping them and building a friendship with them no matter what they look like or what their cultures are.

What I Did On The Holiday
Holiday 2020
********************
Last term the senior classes went to camp raglan and I stayed home because my dad was worried about me catching coronavirus.
While I was at home I would help my family look after my nana who had just gotten out of the hospital after having her operation.
Ever since our nana had gotten back from her operation at the hospital she started to feel very sick. So every night before we all went to sleep we would pray for her in the samoan laguage.
Sometimes when my nana had a nap me and my cousin would go for a ride with our papa to pick our uncle up from his job accord precision cnc machining.
Accorwd precision cnc machining is a job where you make supplies/equiptment for hospitals.
When I finish doing all my chours and there is nothing to do, me and my cousin would sometimes go on my uncle's PS4 to play C.O.D or we would go to Glen Innes school to play on their park, swim in their pool or play basketball on their courts, When it would start to get late we would walk around the block before hedding home.
During the holidays every night when everyone was asleep I would stay up till the morning on call with my friends Stanley, Josephine and Litia talking about how they were doing during the holidays and what fun things they were planning to do with their familys.
On the weekend my grandad and cousins all went on a car ride around our neighborhood and we talked about how much we missed being at school with our friends.
The last day of school holiday my family decided to have a barbeque and my uncle had come over to visit my nana, After we all ate we chilled out, talked about our childhood memories, laughed at eachothers jokes and played on the PS4 enjoying our last moments together before everyone left to go home to sleep for school/Work.
