Te Reo

On Monday, Room 8 had Te Reo with the Kapa haka leaders. Their names are Andre and Chanel. They taught us a haka that they have been teaching to the kapa haka students. we had to get into  two lines and then we had to face to each other other and do the haka. we didn't have much time so we did the haka one more time and then the bell went. 

I enjoyed doing the haka because its fun and it inspired me.

My Top month was August and may because the work we had to do was thinkers keys. 

My lowest month was February and March because we were given hard work and it was to hard for me.

Flag Football

Intoduction:WOW! On Monday the 29th of October Room 8 went

down to the hall for Kiwi sports to play a game called Flag Football.

We had to put one finger on the white line of the ball and the rest of

our fingers on the laces. When we threw the ball we had to point at

our partner in front of us. When you catch the ball you have to tuck

it under your arm and then you have to throw back and do the same

instruction.

Holiday trip

WALT:Adding speech.

Introduction: On Saturday the 8’th at 4:00pm my
family and I had a meeting about going to Taranaki to
celebrate my cousins birthday.

Firstly: we packed our suitcases then we went to grab
some snacks from Countdown to eat on the road trip
down to Taranaki. The snacks we got was pods, Chocolate,
cheese flavored doritos, my baby sisters milk  and three
drinks.

Secondly: on the trip I saw the mountain with snow on it,
a river, tents, caravans, animals,houses and a marai to
sleep in.

Thirdly: Well we were in the van I ate my chocolate and
chips and it was delicious and tasty. We were 30mins
away and I fell asleep because the road trip was very

Last of all: I felt really excited because I was going to see
my family from wellington and it was going to be my
first time in a hotel.

My sgraffito shows Mokoia Pa. In Mokoia Pa there was a fortified village on a hill that was very protected with Maori people.Mokoia Pa was built on a volcano. The people grew vegetables from the fertile. In Tamaki River there was a lot of fish that you could hunt, cook, then eat for food. In the olden days Panmure used to have a swing bridge but then they changed and named it  Panmure Bridge.

WALT:I learnt how to create a sgraffito. I  learnt about Mokoia Pa. We also learnt about the two previous Panmure Bridges.
